Honest with yourself
Being a human means, you are flawed.
With that being said what are you going to do? Are you going to accept it for what it's worth? Or are you going to acknowledge it? You can't heal what you never reveal. I think deep embedded in the human brain there's this pathological thing where we lie. We all have different levels of Lies, lies that we tell other people, and lies we tell ourselves. The Lies we tell ourselves are the most detrimental. You ever met that person who lies so much that they start to believe their lies? well yeah, I'm sure we all have. but the thing is we are that person it just depends on to what extent. Some more than others, but we all have that a little bit. It's like telling a story to friends that is the truth but just a little bit exaggerated. Seems harmless at first but after a while, those small little things add up. For years I've lied and lied and lied. Most of the time for no reason just wanted to feel good or feel better than I was so to speak. Why do that you may think, well it could be for a million different reasons but I think deep down inside it's because we don't want to be that piece of shit we think we are. That feeling that we're not good enough. The feeling that we're not enough. What sucks about the lie is that it hurts the people around you. Maybe in the short term not so much but in the long run, it will come to light.I don't give a damn what anybody says telling the truth is hard, but it's needed. If you ' re living a lie it's just going to leave you dumb deaf and blind in this world. The biggest culprit is the Ego. The ego will kill you if not physically then spiritually. This idea that we're better when we're not. No, you're not better and no you're not an exception to evil. If you knew better you'd do better, that's what they say and that's ideal but it's just not realistic. Malcolm X said
"If you stick a knife in my back 9 inches and pull it out 6 inches, that's not progress. If you pull it all the way out, that's not progress. Progress is healing the wound that the blow made. They haven't pulled the knife out; they won't even admit that it's there. "
How many people are willing to dig deep deep deep down inside to not only find those demons but to fight them?
Be willing to not only ask for help but to receive it.
